Origins & Source.

50 million years ago, the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges began to form as a result of the collision between the Indian Plate and Eurasian Plate, creating an immense natural filter, through which the water flows. To provide this uniquely mineralised water takes time, and non-stop care to the nature around it.

High up in the Karakoram, the water’s journey begins as tiny droplets trickle through cracks in cliffs into a ground of crystalline rock. Percolating through metamorphosed sediments and underlying granites for years, the water continues along its intricate path to eventually filter through to the naturally protected O1 source aquifer.

A single, protected, and pristine source.

The pristine taste one savours when drinking O1 Natural Mineral Water is the product of years of filtration through the unique rock, gravel, and sand strata, that lie deep beneath our estate. We pride ourselves on protecting the beautiful surroundings of the estate in the Frontier province countryside, located on the fringes of a 150-acre private natural reserve.

This reserve is home to an array of wildlife. As a safe haven for such diverse fauna, we feel it's our duty to continue to take care of our remarkable surroundings.

The science of O1 Natural Mineral Water all happens below the surface. The unique taste of our water derives from years of filtration and purification. Nothing is added or removed at the bottling stage, with the exception of a little carbonation to create our sparkling range.

A state-of-the-art bottling facility.

O1 Natural Mineral Water is accessed, filtered and sanitised in accordance with the most stringent international standards, and bottled using fully automated technology, free of human contact.

The filtration and sterilization system uses polished food grade stainless steel and the architecture of all the parts and components is designed for efficient Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) technology. There are no sand or carbon filters; only micro-filters made of advanced materials designed specifically for the beverage industry, and titanium ultra-filters using cutting edge nanotechnology. The terminal processing includes UV sterilization.

The 19-litre filling line operates in a clean room environment to protect against secondary contamination using HEPA filters. The floors are food grade epoxy. With access limited to the Plant Operator and Quality Control Manager in sanitized protective gear, the production area is restricted for your protection. The bottle is specifically designed for its elegant looks and scientific shape for effective cleaning to bring you O1 free of contamination. Bottles are externally and internally washed in a multi-step cycle, filled, and then automatically capped and sealed with sterilized components to achieve aseptic production.
